‘Tis the season… to turn in final papers, dig out your windshield scraper for the car and answer the phone “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?”. Make your list of final assignments due and check it twice (don’t forget to print!). And maybe deck the halls when you need a study break. Fa la la la la.
Do you hear what I hear? They’re jingle bells, silver bells, the Whos singing with Christmas bells ringing, and one cell phone alarm waking me up to the season’s first real snowfall. Let it snow, I say.
I really can’t stay… No, really, I can’t. I have my last final tomorrow and these study sheets aren’t going to write themselves. My professor will start to worry, and my classmates will be pacing the floor, so really I’d better get to studying, there’s just one big exam more. It’ll be a silent night of studying at my house ‘cuz baby it’s cold outside.
Thanks for tuning in this semester. You won’t be hearing from me for a few weeks, but I’m sure you’ll be singing too loudly to notice (the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!). And there’s a lot to look forward to in January: I’ll be continuing on to Theory and Practice II, Problem and Identification II, Assessment and Appraisal, and my Practicum. A whole new set of classes and I will be counseling for the first time in the real world, as a trainee. We’re going to have a lot to talk about.
In the meantime, enjoy the holidays!
